Intercept Technology, a provider of PCB, RF, hybrid, and high-speed design software, recently added a new import translator to its list of 35-plus database translators: Import DSN. This new file transfer format offers a migration path to Intercept software from a number of EDA software applications. Since Intercept's Pantheon already includes the ability to write a DSN file, the company says the ability to read the same file creates a circular path that can benefit design teams.

"The DSN format is widely used, so it made sense for us to enhance our output by also offering an equivalent input of the same file type," said John Towers, engineering manager at Intercept. "Any time we see a format being shared among design groups for many different purposes, we ensure that our customers can do the same."
