ZWSOFT releases ZWCAD MFG 2026, its next-generation mechanical CAD solution tailored for engineers and manufacturers. With a focus on improving design efficiency and data management, this release gives users tools to streamline workflows across the phases of mechanical product design.

ZWCAD MFG 2026 combines expanded part libraries, automated workflows, and greater compatibility, the company reports.

What’s New in ZWCAD MFG 2026?

Product Inplace Manager

The new Product Inplace Manager introduces a visual assembly tree, allowing users to create, browse, and open part drawings directly from a unified interface. It can update and maintain bill of materials data without opening individual drawings. Interlinked parent-child relationships ensure consistent updates across all assemblies. Users can also run batch operations, such as printing, script execution, and file exports.

Screw Connection

Screw connections are foundational in mechanical design, according to ZWSOFT. ZWCAD MFG 2026 introduces a wizard-based Screw Connection tool that boosts efficiency, the company notes. Engineers can now insert complete assemblies (bolts, washers, nuts) with one click by selecting a nominal diameter. The system auto-matches sizes and calculates bolt lengths based on hole depth. Whether you're designing pressure vessels, gear housings, or control panels, you can now create and reuse custom templates, switch view styles (e.g., section view), and edit elements post-insertion.

Hole Generator

Precision hole placement is now intuitive and customizable with the Hole Generator in ZWCAD MFG 2026. This tool allows users to create a range of holes—straight, stepped, tapered, center—using built-in international standards. Specify the hole type and diameter, and the system auto-fills all other specs. Users benefit from support for local section views, automatic dimensioning, and two annotation modes (Leader & General).

Part Library Expansion

ZWCAD MFG 2026 introduces over 370 newly added JIS and KS standard parts—from structural steel profiles to bearings and fasteners. With a few clicks, engineers can now insert region-specific components.

Multi-Language Support

ZWCAD MFG 2026 adds support for Czech, Spanish, and Hungarian. It now supports a total of 11 languages: Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese, German, Korean, Turkish, Polish, Czech, Spanish, and Hungarian.

AutoCAD Mechanical Compatibility

ZWCAD MFG 2026 ensures import and export of legacy drawings by supporting all AutoCAD Mechanical versions from AM6 (2004) to 2024. This minimizes file conversion issues.
