With IOGEAR's (Irvine, CA) new Serial ATA (SATA) and External SATA (eSATA) family, including PCI and PCI-Express card adapters, enclosures, and cables, internal and external adapters facilitate feature-rich data transfers at speeds up to 3 Gbps, as much as six times faster than USB 2.0.
The SATA PCI and PCI-Express solutions also add RAID (redundant array of independent disks) capabilities to existing laptops and desktops, enabling data backup and transfer performance increases unavailable with other connections.
