Jon Peddie Research (JPR) has appointed industry veteran Hernán Quijano as workstation analyst. Quijano has extensive experience in the workstation segment, specific to high-performance workflows and benchmarking.

“I am pleased to welcome Hernán to JPR. His knowledge of and experience in the workstation industry will be a valuable asset to us,” says Jon Peddie, president of Jon Peddie Research. “His vision for the workstation segment will bring new insights to JPR.”

Quijano began his career analyzing hardware for 3D animation while in high school in the 1990s, which fueled his interest in electronic engineering and visual computing. He worked for Intel for 22 years in Colombia, Brazil, and the United States; during the last 5 years, he led Intel’s global workstation sales. In 2025, he founded CavalryHQ, focused on the workstation segment, calling for collaboration among PC OEMs and hardware and software vendors, to provide users with the latest compute technologies.

At JPR, Hernán will offer his knowledge and assessments to JPR’s coverage of the workstation industry, including regular columns, news, and more.
