Keithley Instruments Ships Triple-Channel Programmable Power Supply

By DE Editors

October 31, 2014

Keithley Instruments, a provider of electrical test instruments and systems, has added a triple-channel power supply to the company's Series 200 line of programmable power supplies. The Model 2231A-30-3 195W includes ease of use features for circuit design and device testing.

The technology's output levels address a range of source requirements for characterizing components, circuits, modules and compute devices. Two of the output channels are typically used for powering analog circuits, with each channel capable of outputting up to 30V at 3A. The third channel, often used for powering digital circuits, can output up to 50V at 3A. The power supply has a voltage setting and reading resolution of 10mV.

Each channel can be independently turned off, enabling users to power up a circuit that requires turning on multiple voltage levels in a specified time sequence. A programmable timer allows for setting up unattended tests.

The Model 2231A-30-3 also has a variety of features for operating versatility. They include:

  • The ability to save frequently used settings to one of 30 internal memory locations.
  • A rotary knob with adjustable step size that simplifies studying a DUT's response to voltage or current changes.
  • Voltage and current outputs for all channels are simultaneously shown on a florescent display.
The Model 2231A-30-3 is available now.
