By DE Editors

April 6, 2014

Aras announced a partnership with Kisters to integrate the 3D digital mockup product 3DViewStation with the Aras PLM platform for multi-CAD digital mockup. Users will be able to perform analysis and viewing of aircraft, automobiles, equipment and other complex systems directly from the Aras Innovator suite.

Kisters 3DViewStation is compatible with leading 3D CAD systems including CATIA, NX, CreoElements/Pro/ENGINEER, SolidWorks, Inventor, Solid Edge and neutral formats such as JT, STEP, 3D-PDF and PRC.

"The need for high performance digital mockup with inputs from multiple different CAD applications has become critical for next generation systems engineering," said John Sperling, vice president of product management at Aras. "We chose to work with Kisters because of their advanced 3D DMU technology for analysis, industry leading DMU performance and their global reputation for quality."
