Knovel, a Web-based application integrating technical information with analytical and search tools, has announced that the company has been named a finalist in the 2010 American Business Awards.

In 2009, Knovel added 21 new content partners, introduced Knovel Math, documented and validated Mathcad worksheets for engineering calculations, and launched My Knovel, a personalized space where users can save and organize frequently used content, titles, and searches. These additions helped position Knovel as a finalist in the New Product or Service of the Year, Computer Software category.

"We are delighted to be recognized as a finalist in the 2010 American Business Awards," says Sasha Gurke, senior vice president and co-founder of Knovel. "In the past decade, Knovel has earned the trust of engineers who seek answers to technical problems and need access to validated technical content. We continually improve our offering by adding new content, features and interactive tools."

More than 2,700 entries from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration in more than 40 categories. Members of the Awards' Board and specialized final judging committees will select Stevie Award winners from among finalists in final judging that will continue through May 28. Finalists were chosen by business professionals nationwide during preliminary judging in April and May.
