Lambda Research Corporation, a provider of illumination and optical design software, has released OSLO (Optics Software for Layout and Optimization) v6.64. This platform is an optical design software that offers capabilities to simulate and analyze the performance of optical systems.

Version 6.64 has updates and enhancements to improve the user experience, Windows 8.1 support, ghost analysis capabilities and an Ohara glass catalog, the company states.

OSLO offers tools for advanced ray tracing, analysis and optimization. Current users can download an upgrade, and the company is offering a 30-day free trial for interested users.
