Laser Design, Rx Solutions Announce Distribution Partnership

By DE Editors

November 13, 2014

Laser Design Inc., a provider of 3D scanning systems and services, has partnered with Rx Solutions for North American distribution of the DeskTom CT 3D Scanner.

The DeskTom system is designed to address the rapidly-growing market for 3D dimensional metrology and non-destructive testing solutions. The two companies joined together due to Laser Design's extensive experience marketing and supporting high-accuracy 3D scanning solutions, the company states.

The DeskTom CT scanner is a micro-tomography and digital radioscopy system that enables previously-inaccessible internal geometries of an object to be inspected without deconstruction or disassembly. It is ideal for micro-machining, micro-molded parts and scanning objects that contain internal geometries.

The system requires no special room or location, little maintenance and works with plastics, elastomers and metallic parts. It powers up to 150kV and has a working envelope of 230 x 250 mm.
