LG Releases Smart Control AC Module For Remote Temperature Control

By DE Editors

July 18, 2014

LG Electronics has created a system that allows users to control their home temperature remotely through their smartphones. Compatible with Android and iOS smartphones, this module enables homeowners to create the ideal temperature setting — no matter where they are in relation to their dwelling.

The wireless device communicates with the indoor unit to control various functions and features, such as temperature, fan speed, and air flow directly through the application. Frequently used settings can be saved for reuse, and there is also a sleep time for programmed temperature control throughout the evening. There is even the option to purify circulating filtered air.

“With LG, it’s all possible. We’re always looking for ways to offer consumers more convenience and flexibility and simplify their everyday tasks,” said Kevin McNamara, vice president of Commercial Air Conditioning at LG. “The Smart AC Module gives homeowners a way to customize their home temperature, even if they are away, easily fitting into their busy lifestyles.”
