Materialise Celebrates 20 Years and New U.S. Headquarters

The Materialise team welcomed more than 110 guests to its new U.S. headquarters in Plymouth, MI, for the company’s open house. Visitors were able to tour the additive manufacturing plant that’s meeting the needs of the orthopaedic implant industry.

Participants ranged from experts in biomedical engineering to leaders of additive manufacturing service bureaus; politicians to local business owners. The visitors included a strong presence from numerous leaders of the automotive industry.

The day began with a networking lunch followed by presentations from the leaders of Materialise. The presentations covered the ways that Materialise is expanding the use of additive manufacturing in numerous industries and bringing it to the consumer through their .MGX and i.materialise products.

In addition, participants were able to hear how Materialise software is being used to enhance workflows in numerous areas ranging from biomedical to industrial applications.

After the presentations, everyone had a tour of the additive manufacturing facility that is producing customized surgical guides for hundreds of patients per month.
