The new suite of character animation features include new character object (includes an auto rigger), new CMotion system, new muscle system, and a new collision deformer. R13 includes a number of new interface features including a revamped navigation system, sticky keys which activate a tool only while its shortcut is pressed and immediately return to the previous tool, and a new spline data user interface, location indicator. Also included are updated surface manipulation, and animation enhancements which were based on user feedback.

More features of CINEMA 4D Release 13 include XRef (external reference) object, updated C.O.F.F.E.E. and Python scripting language integration,  file format support, and after effects exchange. R13 also includes a host of new shaders.
