Medical Innovation Labs, located in Central Texas, has begun operation. The company is a provider of medical technology engineering services.

According to a company press release, Medical Innovation Labs is planning on opening a 3D printing and rapid prototyping lab in Austin, TX. The lab will be used to build medical device prototypes for testing, designing and bringing to manufacturing. The organization is also planning on offering consulting services, experimenting and strategic planning.

“The goal of the lab is to provide the resources to accelerate proof of concept through rapid prototyping,” said Joseph Beaman, chief technical officer, Prototyping Lab, Medical Innovation Labs. “These capabilities will reduce time-to-market for innovative devices and ensure near-term impact on patient care. We want to make sure that anyone with a great idea has an inspiring facility in which to convene, the experts to advise them, and most importantly, an innovation and commercialization process that delivers real-world results.”
