MYNAH Technologies (St. Louis, MO) is shipping MiMiC v3.0.0 Media Packs and Software Licenses. MiMiC v3, a scalable third-generation .NET simulation software for the process control industry is said to be graphical, flexible, and offers a solution for process control system Software Acceptance Testing and Operator Training.

MiMiC is for plant operators to simulate plant processes, mainly used in refining, petrochemical, specialty chemical, life sciences, food and beverage, pulp and paper, mineral production, and energy industries.

The training software is Process Simulation Software that supports full non-intrusive simulation of Foundation Fieldbus, ProfibusDP, DeviceNet, As-I Bus and HART smart field devices. MiMiC Simulations integrate with any offline automation system that uses the OPC or Modbus TCP/IP communication standards. Additional high-performance simulation drivers are available for Emerson DeltaV, Schneider Unity, Rockwell, and other automation systems.

All MiMiC sites current on MiMiC software support will be automatically upgraded to MiMiC v3 Simulation Software — the upgrade process does not require any actions from the user. The MiMiC user current on MiMiC Software Support will receive a MiMiC Media Pack. MYNAH will continue to provide support for customers that are current on MiMiC Software Support for v2.8 until March 2018.

MiMiC v2 Software Support Renewals will be available for all non-current MiMiC sites until September 30, 2008.

The final release of MiMiC v2.x, v2.8.49 will be available for users current on MiMiC Software Support by March 31, 2008. The new Virtual IO Module MiMiC Simulation Firmware v2.2.6 includes support of the DeltaV ProfibusDPSeries 2 Module. It is compatible with MiMiC v2.8.49 and v3.0.0.
