National Instruments Releases LabView 2015

With LabVIEW 2015, users can open, write, debug and deploy code faster. Users can open libraries up to 8x faster, utilize seven new right-click plug-ins and decode with an auto-scaling probe.

The platform is also extended by the LabView Tools Network, which has enhanced IP (intellectual property) from National Instruments and third-party providers. These include the Advanced Plotting Toolkit by Heliosphere Research, a RTI DDS Toolkit by Real-Time Innovations and application-specific libraries for biomedical, multicore and GPU (graphics processing unit) analysis.

“Using LabVIEW and the LabVIEW RIO architecture allowed us to reduce the time of developing and testing a new robot control algorithm to just one week, compared to one month with a text-based approach. We are able to prototype with software and hardware faster and adapt to rapidly changing control requirements quicker," says DongJin Hyun, Senior Research Engineer, Central Advanced Research and Engineering Institute, Hyundai Motor Group.
