As the situation in Gaza Strip deteriorates following a Hamas attack, NVIDIA announces it's cancelling its AI Summit, scheduled to take place in Tel Aviv on Oct 15-16.

The public statement by NVIDIA reads, "We hope this message finds you safe and well. We regret to inform you that due to the current situation in Israel, we have decided to cancel AI SUMMIT, which was scheduled for October 15th and 16th. Our hearts go out to all those affected by the situation. The safety and wellbeing of our participants are our top priority, and we believe this is the best course of action to ensure everyone's safety."

The Summit program included roughly 60 live sessions on topics ranging from generative AI, edge-device AI, cybersecurity, and Omniverse.

In September, NVIDIA wrote in its blog, "The two-day summit is set to attract more than 2,500 developers, researchers, and decision-makers from across one of the world’s most vibrant technology hubs."

The keynote by NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang was supposed to highlight the latest trends in generative AI and cloud computing.
