Oce North America (Trumbull, CT) introduced two new color plotters to complement the existing Oce TCS large format color portfolio — the new Oce CS2224 and Oce CS2236, both of which are suited for very low volume users seeking an affordable plotter to produce high quality, large format color CAD and GIS prints.

The Oce CS22xx series replaces the Oce CS2124 and Oce CS2136 color plotters.

The 24-in. width Oce CS2224 and the 36-inch width Oce CS2236 are designed for users in very low volume environments that demand high quality 2400 x 1200 dpi printing of their technical color applications — line drawings, renderings, GIS aerials — and business/consumer graphics.

With 2400 x 1200 dpi print resolution for technical CAD/GIS color, the new Oce CS22xx plotters deliver brilliant, consistent quality for a wide range of applications, says the company. Line accuracy, sharp detail, and subtle transitions are achieved with a very small drop size (4 picoliter) and large color gamut via dye ink (CMY) and high density pigment ink for black (4 color, 6 ink tanks). Oce pre-defined settings provide the user with one-touch printing and right-the-first-time results.

ONYX CAD-Pro v7 software is now included with every Oce CS22xx plotter. The Oce CS2236 is available now; the Oce CS2224 will be released mid-2008.
