Ontonix ( Novi, MI ) released version 3.5 of OntoSpace. which contains improvements as well as new functionalities, including the possibility to directly process MS-Excel files.

Complexity profiling is the most important new functionality in OntoSpace v3.5, allowing the user to quantify the contribution of each variable to total system complexity. It establishes a link between measuring complexity and managing it.

With this profiling, users can determine how much each variable in a given problem actually contributes to the total complexity of a given system or process. Take, for example, Level 1 and Level 2 Robustness Measures. Ontonix introduced an intermediate level of complexity — alert complexity — that warns of imminent problems in a system. While critical complexity corresponds to catastrophic collapse, alert complexity provides an early-warning system.

Level 1 and Level 2 robustness measures indicate, respectively, how far a system is from collapse and from a state of initial failure.

Ontonix says its OntoSpace establishes a means of crisis-anticipation, BI-CPM, decision-making, advanced risk rating, and risk management. Ontonix enables its customers to purchase personalized risk and complexity maps that let them verify the state-of-health of corporations, organizations, asset portfolios, or any kind of business.
