ParallelGraphics (Dublin, Ireland) released version 1.2 of its Arbortext Plug in, with an intuitive integration that provides an efficient method of authoring next-generation technical documentation with integrated 3D visualizations.

Integration highlights include ParallelGraphics' Cortona3D RapidManual software that automatically converts 3D design data into ready-to-use 3D models, thus eliminating the traditional process of re-creating illustrations which accelerates production of documentation; an author can easily create simulations of technical procedures on the fly with no 3D experience; the shift from static 2D to interactive 3D improves the quality of the information produced as well as enabling efficient generation of updates and revisions; providing customers with cutting-edge documentation, as advanced as the products, adds value to customer support operations including lower cost of maintenance, enhanced technical training and more.

In the integrated production environment, the author has direct access from Arbortext editor to optimized graphics imported from CAD data (Cortona3D RapidManual supports all major systems).

This integration has been developed jointly by ParallelGraphics and its new VAR partner 4Dconcept leveraging both companies' respective strengths in the after-sales market.
