Polhemus (Colchester, VT) signed an OEM distributor agreement with Geomagic, Inc. (Research Triangle Park, NC) under which various Geomagic software options will be bundled along with the FastSCAN handheld 3D laser scanner from Polhemus.

FastSCAN, a handheld 3D laser scanner, has applications for medical, entertainment, life sciences, and woodworking industries. The partnership with Geomagic will provide customers in the rapid prototyping market a hardware/software package that will provide ease of use and excellent return on investment.  Scan files from FastSCAN can be imported directly into Geomagic Studio, which quickly creates accurate models for use in CAD, CAM and CAE.
