Version 4.1 of PROSTEP's PDF Generator 3D is now available with new features and enhancements.

The Model Script plug-in for the converter engine (available since version 4.0) provides a function that allows the color of product manufacturing information (PMI) to be changed as desired during conversion. This not only allows printing costs to be saved but also improves visualization of PMI, the company says.

The new version also supports NX 9 from Siemens PLM Software.

The update also allows for the merging of geometry data on any level. This allows individual assemblies to be grouped together for a spare parts BOM, for example, and at the same time allows methodology know-how to be hidden.
