3D scanning company INUS Technology/Rapidform has signed a sales agreement with Creaform China, a provider of portable 3D optical measurement technologies. The two companies are working together to offer Creaforms easy-to-use, portable Handyscan 3D laser scanners with Rapidforms XOR reverse engineering and inspection software.

Rapidforms XOR enables manufacturers to scan an object with a Creaform Handyscan 3D scanner and quickly create a parametric CAD model of the physical object. XOR combines 3D scan data processing with CAD solid modeling in one application.

Using the combined solution, manufacturers can scan parts to verify their accuracy back to a CAD model automatically.
