Southpaw Technology has announced that its production asset management system, TACTIC, has been deployed by the advertising agency, Saatchi & Saatchi Los Angeles to assist with the management and tracking of thousands of digital files.

TACTIC links assets and production data together in a Web-based solution. According to Southpaw Technology, this combination of asset and production management ensures that the entire team knows where important files are, which file is the most current version, who is working on which file, and the status of every file.

TACTIC’s open architecture is also intended to allow companies to integrate it into any toolset and deploy it across any content creation workflow, including visual effects, animation, post production, 3D conversion, industrial design, engineering and advertising.

Currently Saatchi & Saatchi LA’s 3D department is using TACTIC to store and organize an extensive database of virtual parts, props and locations for one of its automotive clients.
