Sigmetrix, LLC (McKinney, TX), a strategic partner with PTC and supplier of tolerance analysis software for Pro/ENGINEER customers, released Version 8.1 beta of its CETOL 6s for Pro/E software.

Described by the company as the single most comprehensive re-engineering of the product since it first introduced CETOL technologies into the market, CETOL 6 Sigma v8.1 represents more than three years of R&D to bring advanced mechanical constraint technology focused on representing real manufacturing variability and its effect on the robustness of a product.

This representation gives customers the advantage to virtually see how manufacturing variation interacts in their design directly on the solid model and provides reliable tolerance analysis results that accurately predict worst case and statistical variation results on a product.

Sigmetrix' mechanical variation modeling and analysis methodology is also incorporated into the new Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 4.0 Tolerance Analysis Extension Powered by CETOL Technology.
