Silentium Ltd. (Rehovot, Israel) was awarded a contract to supply more than 200 of its AcoustiRACK soundproofed rack-mount cabinets to Broadberry Data Systems (Wilmington, DE), a U.S.- and UK-based IT equipment distributor.

AcoustiRACK is a range of soundproofed cabinets designed to enclose noisy 19 in. rack-mount equipment, such as servers, computer networking and audio equipment. The family of acoustically sealed cabinets, designed to trap and absorb unwanted noise generated inside, offer a self-venting mechanism allowing air movement and heat dissipation for cooling. An optional Assisted Venting Roof unit can improve heat dissipation capabilities of the product.

Silentium also recently introduced its AcoustiRACK Active (ARA) solution, implementing Silentium’s Active Noise Control (ANC) technology. Its strong fans allow a high rate of air to flow through the cabinet, achieving better heat dissipation capabilities while the ANC mechanism prevents the noise of fans to leak out of the cabinet. The AcoustiRACK Active reduces the irritating humming of servers fans by more than 20dB.

Silentium Ltd. is a high-tech company focused on the field of Spatial & BroadBand Active Noise Control (ANC). Silentium's technology, based on its innovative proprietary algorithms, is implemented in its SCube kit, which can be integrated into a wide range of applications, achieving significant reductions in acoustic noise. The company’s "Silence in a Chip" concept is embedded in the recently launched AcoustiRack Active (ARA) and the Active Silencer Docking Station (ASDS).
