Rapid prototyping provider Solid Concepts is starting a design competition for 3D printing professionals and enthusiasts. The challenge? Design a deck for a skateboard.

The top two winners will then receive their own 3D printed design. The final product will be printed with Nylon 12 PA and made through the selective laser sintering process.

According to Solid Concepts, the skateboard deck must be structurally sound, challenge traditional deck designs and unique. It must be at least 0.475" thick and cannot exceed 25.5" inches long.

The deadline is June 30. Five finalists will be selected and posted on Solid Concepts' Facebook page for voting.
