Stanford University to Host MEMS Technology Summit

The Stanford University campus will provide a backdrop for the MEMS Technology Summit, which will take place Oct. 18-20. The conference will feature a mix of experts who will share their experience, review the academic and commercialization developments of the past, and offer personal insights into future directions.

The event, which will lead off with a networking cocktail party reception, will have more than 30 speakers over the two-day program. In addition to the featured speakers, a number of panel discussions are planned including “Monetizing MEMS,” which will conclude the program.  Tours of Stanford Laboratories and networking evenings including a co-sponsored event with the Bay Area MEMS Networking Group complement the schedule.

Keynote speakers confirmed to date include professor Kensal Wise of the University of Michigan, professor Tom Kenny of Stanford University, Dr. Ken Gabriel of DARPA, professor emeritus Stephen Senturia of MIT, professor emeritus Richard Muller of the University of California Berkeley and Dr. Jiri Marek of Bosch of Germany.

The cost of the event is $595 before Sept. 1, 2010 and $695 thereafter.
