TE Connectivity, a provider of connectivity hardware, has released three new board-to-board (BTB) connectors. The new line includes the 0.4mm fine-pitch EMI (electromagnetic interference) shielded board-to-FPC connector, a 0.4mm pitch board-to-board connector and 0.35mm pitch board-to-board.

These connectors are ideal for Internet of Things, smartphones, wearable and other mobile applications.

“Our 0.4 mm fine-pitch EMI shielded board-to-FPC connector utilizes a unique spring contact and latching shield to enable a lower profile and smaller footprint than traditional FPC solutions,” said Eric Himelright, vice president of Internal Interconnect, TE Data and Devices. “Its unique design with locking shield helps our customers lower the overall profile height of their devices, simplify their reliability testing and mitigate EMI concerns. The 0.4 mm and 0.35 mm BTB connectors have a multiple contact point system to ensure reliable mating and a contact self-lock concept to give a clear mating/un-mating feeling. These three connectors help enable higher density in limited spaces."
