Tecplot Inc. Releases Tecplot Chorus

Simulation analytics solution integrates metadata analysis, post-processing, and simulation data management.

Tecplot Inc. has announced the release of Tecplot Chorus, a simulation analytics solution for engineers that integrates metadata analysis, post-processing, and simulation data management in one software tool. Tecplot Chorus assists engineers to discover trends and anomalies in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) studies and simultaneously gain insight into the underlying, fluid-dynamic phenomena that cause these variations.

Simulation analytics is the application of visualization, data management, statistics, and data mining to related collections of large datasets generated by computer-aided engineering (CAE) simulation software, especially CFD codes. Encompassing the capabilities of both business analytics tools and traditional post-processors, Tecplot Chorus assists engineers working with information hidden within simulation datasets, providing simultaneous analysis of the detailed field data and the associated key simulation result(s) as functions of input parameters.

For industries striving for more R&D efficiency, Tecplot Chorus is designed to help engineers deliver designs by speeding up the discovery and understanding of the results and underlying physics across many simulation cases. Other features include unified data and project management, analytics and surrogate modeling, comparative analysis of field data, batch process plot creation, and physics exploration and visualization.
