3Dconnexion announced that Luxology modo 601 includes certified 3Dconnexion 3D mouse support.

3Dconnexion 3D mice enable artists, animators and designers to intuitively interact with modo 601 content, boosting creativity and speed while enhancing comfort by reducing dependency on a standard mouse or tablet. According to the company, users working in Orbit Object mode "feel like theyre holding the digital model in their hand, a feeling further intensified by 3Dconnexions intelligent 3D navigation which automatically adjusts the objects center of rotation depending on the users point of interest."

When working in Camera Walkthrough mode, users can quickly and smoothly position the viewport so they focus on their digital content rather than how to look at it from the right angle.

The integration of 3D mouse support in modo 601 brings 3Dconnexions superior 3D navigation experience to 3D professionals working in media and entertainment, engineering and architectural design visualization, said Antonio Pascucci, vice president of products, 3Dconnexion.Whether working on character animation, volumetric rendering or retopology modelling, 3Dconnexion 3D mice enable modo 601 users to achieve more by not being held back by legacy input device technology.

3Dconnexion support is built into the newest service pack for modo 601, SP1, which is currently available for download.
