ArtVPS has released a new version of Shaderlight for SketchUp, which is now available to download. Version 2.1.5 is a maintenance patch release for a number of improvements and bug fixes.

The new release includes improved license activation software; improved animation rendering performance; improved quality of reflections seen in transparent materials, which could sometimes appear noisy; improved behavior of auto-exposure; improved bump map quality for brushed metal materials; and blurred backgrounds for frosted glass objects.

In addition, the company has changed default settings so that Physical Sky is the default lighting environment, and resolution is set to 720 x 405. Glowing glass now uses the material's diffuse colour for self-illumination, and pixellation is no longer visible when zooming in close to a bump-mapped surface.
