Vero USA (Wixom, MI), provider of CAD/CAM/CAE solutions for the tooling industry, will exhibit VISI Rel. 16 and PEPS Rel 7, its updated software packages at the EASTEC Exposition (West Springfield, MA; May 20-22, 2008).

Vero offers applications including fully integrated surface and solid modeling, comprehensive 2- to 5-axis machining strategies with high-speed routines, 2- and 4-axis EDM, and dedicated tools for plastic injection molds and progressive dies.

Among the new features in the new VISI Rel. 16 and PEPS Rel 7 are the ability for VISI Flow to see a closer integration with VISI Mold, and be able to simulate three new molding technologies, which are co-injection, over-molding, cross-linking. A Hot Runner Quick Analyzer and an option to optimize the Cooling Layout will also be available.

VISI Progress will feature the step-by-step unfolding of non-linear bends. VISI Machining will have a CAM Navigator with a new set of contextual menus, a consistent way of selection or editing of the geometry, and a more natural multiple selection with drag and drop capabilities. The 2D CAM engine has been totally redesigned and includes specific options for HSM and a new AFR (Automatic Feature Recognition). e-Drawings will allow VISI users to collaborate more effectively with everyone involved in product development.

PEPS Rel. 7 will offer additions in PEPS Wire (rotary axis support, enhanced wireframe simulation, multiple workpieces, support for twin wire machines, direct editing of the cutting setup pages), PEPS Pentacut/ Tubecut (simplified user interface, optimized rapid moves, body to body transform) and PEPS 2D Laser (add OpenGL Support, enhanced simulation).
