VX Corporation has announced the release of VX Version 14.4. The company says this release improves overall product performance and adds enhancements.

VX Corporation Releases VX Version 14.4

The new cosmetic external thread feature in Version 14.4 is designed to streamline design through manufacturing. External threads contain engineering data for proper detailing.

To support the growth in 3D printing, VX offers its users STL tools. One of these new tools, the STL export, can automatically close an open shape. With Version 14.4, users have the ability to convert meshes to surface patches. This allows access to the full set of modeling commands to fix spikes, twists, inverted triangles, and openings. Users can now repair STL files without having to purchase an editor, according to the company.
