WIN Releases PL-80520 Compact Network Platform

WIN Enterprises announced the PL-80520, a desktop platform powered by an AMD Embedded G-Series SOC. The platform features a high bandwidth DDR3 DIMM slot that supports memory up to 8GB. Storage interfaces include a 2.5-in. SATA HDD and CompactFlash.
 
The PL-80520 is equipped with 4 Copper GbE ports, bypass function, a USB 2.0 port, a RJ45 console port, a mini-PCIe socket (PCI-e x1 &  USB) and 11 LED indicators for monitoring power, storage activities for system management, maintenance and diagnostics.
 
Housed in a black-metal chassis, the unit was designed as a wireline or wireless (optional) networking or network security device. Expansion capabilities include a full-size Mini-PCIe with USB, a half-size Mini-PCIe with USB, and PCIe/SATA signaling. Additional network features include RS232/422/485, USB 2.0, USB 3.0, and line-out/mic-in audio ports.
