zSpace announced their software partner, TechViz, a developer and provider of advanced visualization solutions for 3D applications, has released support for the company's flagship hardware platform, zSpace.
Through this collaboration, engineering, manufacturing and conceptual design departments have the ability to virtually explore and evaluate a complete product before it is actually produced within a realistic, 3D environment, zSpace says.
TechViz's TechViz XL software package allows users to convert and display 3D models directly from their native desktop applications on any stereo 3D display, including zSpace, and works with more than 150 professional 3D applications, including Dassault Systems' CATIA. zSpace's 3D environment combined with TechViz's capabilities and software applications gives users the ability to visualize a 3D model from 3D CAD, PLM and simulation applications together, and enables real-time interaction using a 24-in. HD stereoscopic display system that is responsive to the user's actions and allows interaction with photo-realistic 3D objects or a full virtual environment.
"3D technology enables complete user flexibility and creativity," said Alberto Gabai, TechViz CEO. "We are excited to deepen our partnership with zSpace and continue to empower innovative freedom, while giving users the ability to virtually evaluate final products. This visibility into the end result expands how organizations can leverage both TechViz and zSpace capabilities."
"The combination of TechViz and zSpace is a natural fit," said Paul Kellenberger, CEO, zSpace. "With TechViz's extensive software capabilities, zSpace continues to become a powerful platform to design innovative products within an immersive, real-life environment. This partnership ensures businesses are able to quickly leverage 3D technology, test the validity of designs as well as develop products that are truly ready for market."
