ZWCAD Design announced that its ZWCAD+ software has incorporated .DWG support and 3D  components from Open Design Alliance and Spatial. This allows ZWCAD+  designers to communicate across different 2D and 3D platforms.

The Open Design Alliance is a nonprofit organization with more than 1,200 members in 50 countries which develops Teigha, a platform used to create engineering applications. In  order to enable users' design work to be easily shared and exchanged, Teigha was adopted to make ZWCAD+ compatible with other mainstream CAD software.

According to the company, incorporating 3D components from Spatial allows users to view 3D models without switching to different software, and without concern of data loss.
