ZWSOFT announced that the ZW3d 2013 SP Beta is available in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. The main enhancement in this service pack is the new ability to better process large files using 64-bit support, the company says. Coupled with the upgraded translator, ZW3D 2013 SP has been made more competent in fast and high-quality design communication.

This is the first time that ZW3D has launched its 64-bit version simultaneously with the 32-bit version. With the ability to open larger files from CATIA, SolidWorks, Inventor, Siemens NX and more, it enhances the design communication with most 3D software.

"The launch of 64-bit version enables easier and higher-quality design communication, while the overall performance has also been improved," said Colin Lin, vice director of ZW3D overseas business. "With the better design communication capability, ZW3D 2013 SP has gained access to larger and more complicated design."

The TransMagic translator is now able to process higher versions of files from other mainstream 3D software such as CATIA V6. The updated Loft, Wrap and Rib features provide more options to meet specific design needs, making part design simple and efficient, the company says. The new nesting operation and improved minimum tool-length have been added for higher accuracy and efficiency during manufacturing.
