Agilent Introduces Add-In Extensions for Compliance Application Software

Engineers can develop extensions to plug into existing compliance applications.

Agilent Technologies has enhanced its Infiniium real-time oscilloscopes to help engineers extend the capabilities of compliance applications. The enhancement to Agilents N5467A user-defined application software gives engineers the ability to develop extensions that they can plug into existing compliance applications for USB, PCIe, DDR, SATA, HDMI, MIPI, Ethernet and other technologies. This add-in capability allows engineers to rapidly automate custom measurements on Infiniium oscilloscopes,.
 
Add-ins may be designed as complete custom tests with configuration variables and connection prompts; pre- and post-processing scripts such as MATLAB, LabVIEW, Python, C++ and Visual Basic; external instrument controllers for pattern generators, probe switches, temperature chambers and other devices; and device-under-test controllers to transmit specific test patterns, change test modes, etc.
 
When installed, the add-ins are fully integrated into the application, which provides full, detailed HTML reports for measurements and test setups. Add-ins also can control any SCPI-based instruments connected to a network via Agilent's IO Libraries Suite.
