America Makes, the Department of Defense’s manufacturing innovation institute for additive manufacturing (AM), announces the Virtual Game Day Series—a new series of virtual panels and networking events that will cover the most important and trending topics facing the AM community.

The fully interactive series will also allow participants to network directly with panelists, peers and industry leaders to create a virtual conference experience. America Makes is partnering with AM expert Terry Wohlers and Wohlers Associates, who will moderate each of the panels in the Virtual Game Day Series.

“During this time, it is important to find new ways to engage our members and the AM community with opportunities to connect and deliver high value information,” says America Makes Executive Director John Wilczynski.

America Makes and Wohlers Associates will kick off the series with the first event being held Monday, May 11, 12:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m., focused on COVID response efforts and the crisis’ impact on the future of AM. Terry Wohlers will moderate a panel that will include representatives from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Veterans Affairs Administration (VA), National Institutes of Health (NIH), and America Makes Executive Director John Wilczynski. A virtual networking event, sponsored by Link3D Additive MES Software, will follow the panel.

Dates and times for future events in the series will be announced as they become available.
