America's Cup competitor Luna Rossa has named ESTECO as an official supplier for the 38th edition of the America’s Cup.
Engineers for the Italian sailing team will use ESTECO’s software solutions for its AC75 boat, set to compete in Naples in 2027.

The agreement continues an existing partnership between Luna Rossa and ESTECO. Since 2014, ESTECO has supported the team with its design optimization technology, contributing to enhancing the performance of their America's Cup yachts. In the challenge for the 38th America’s Cup, ESTECO will supply the team with its software solutions for simulation process automation, design optimization, and simulation process and data management.

“The America's Cup is more than just a sailing competition; it’s a major technology race that drives innovation in yacht design,” said Carlo Poloni, the president of ESTECO. “Along with an impressive roster of top-level sailors, Luna Rossa counts on a world-class team of engineers and designers. These experts require the most advanced digital engineering tools available, and we are proud to provide them with modeFRONTIER and VOLTA, which are essential for their work,” he concluded.

Luna Rossa will use ESTECO modeFRONTIER, a software solution for simulation process automation and multidisciplinary design optimization (MDO), in their bid to enhance the boat's performance in compliance with the regulations of the America’s Cup. ESTECO VOLTA will enable a collaborative design process by extending MDO workflows to a web-based framework and by ensuring simulation data traceability, sharing, and reuse, the company said.

“We are delighted to renew our partnership with ESTECO, an Italian company internationally recognized for the quality of its cutting-edge technological solutions. Thanks to its advanced software systems, we will have the best tools at our disposal to optimize our boat ahead of the 38th
America’s Cup,” said Gilberto Nobili, Technology & Operations Director at Luna Rossa.
