Aras, a provider of enterprise product lifecycle management (PLM) software, has launched a Microzoft Azure Certified version of the Innovator suite. It is available for virtual machines in the Azure Marketplace.

This certified version provides a secure, full-featured PLM solution in minutes, with bill of materials (BOM) management, document management, revision and versioning, file vaulting and stage-gate project management. According to Aras, it is ideal for business initiatives that must be up and running quickly, those with short-term durations and where eliminating PLM license expenses matters. Aras on Azure also offers a cost-effective way to evaluate the Innovator suite.

“Global enterprises need new alternatives for non-traditional PLM scenarios like joint ventures and supply chain collaboration where it’s not an option to use the existing legacy PLM system,” said Peter Schroer, president of Aras. “With Microsoft, we’re delivering a complete Cloud PLM offering that can be used for projects and product lines that don’t fit in the conventional PLM box.”
