Luxembourg-based 3D scanning pioneer Artec 3D announces a global partnership with metrology software development company InnovMetric.
By merging expertise, the leaders in 3D data capture and industrial metrology will deliver a broader toolset to Artec 3D scanner users. Building on the inspection suite already included in Artec Studio, the first phase of this partnership will focus on integrating the software PolyWorks|Inspector into Artec 3D’s product ecosystem.
“We continue to strengthen our offering in the lucrative quality control and metrology markets, and our agreement with InnovMetric is another solid step in this direction,” says Art Yukhin, President and CEO of Artec 3D. “We’re excited about the prospects of this collaboration, which will see even more advanced tools being made available to our customers worldwide.”
“By seamlessly integrating PolyWorks with Artec 3D’s professional scanners, we provide a unified, high-performance solution that accelerates the journey from measurement to actionable insight. This streamlined workflow is key to helping our customers achieve new levels of product quality and operational excellence,” says David Bergeron, chief revenue officer at InnovMetric.
PolyWorks|Inspector streamlines the extraction of actionable insights from captured 3D data. Its advanced geometric dimensioning and tolerancing tools, built according to the latest ISO and ASME standards, enable precise measurement, analysis, and tolerance verification, InnovMetric reports.
With PolyWorks|Inspector, users can carry out complete dimensional analyses by comparing scans to CAD models to identify deviations. The software platform helps diagnose and resolve manufacturing issues. Detailed reports allow for translation of inspection results into actionable insights.
PolyWorks|Inspector’s built-in macro scripts, along with measurement, sequence creation, and editing tools for advanced workflows, provide automation. The software platform’s functionalities will complement the analytical capabilities already built into Artec Studio.
