Autodesk has released its 2016 Design Suites, which according to the company, offer more control than ever over all aspects of the design-to-make process via a desktop and cloud user experience. Some of the main features include expanded toolsets, interoperability and consistent usability.

Each suite includes AutoCAD 2016, ReCAP and 3ds Max. Users in the architecture, engineering and construction industries will notice the following enhancements:

  • Building Design Suite that has improvements for interoperability for visualization, clash detection and detailing.
  • Infrastructure Design Suite which offers connected workflows between preliminary engineering and detailed designed phases, heightened data exchange capabilities and project organization tools.
Also added is the Product Design Suite, with updates for data management and advanced simulation. With subscription access, users can partner it with Autodesk Fusion 360.

“Our customers are pushing the boundaries on how products are designed and made, how buildings are built, and how entertainment is created,” said Amar Hanspal, senior vice president at Autodesk. “Autodesk Suites address the entire workflow: from capturing reality and iterating on a design, to physically making that design through 3D printing or other forms of fabrication.”
