BigRep debuts its latest product, the DRYCON, a machine with dual-chamber capacity that manages three tasks simultaneously: dry, store, and anneal.

DRYCON is made for technical, flexible and high-temperature materials. It features a large-build volume with dual chambers that dry and store up to 36 kg of filaments in custom conditions. The chambers heat up to 180°C, made for annealing 3D-printed parts to provide industrial-grade strength.

A Companion for a 3D Printer

The DRYCON ensures hygroscopic filaments perform well by creating conditions that minimize extrusion problems and improve the overall mechanical strength of a part. Users can achieve repeatable print quality and lower production cost by minimizing print defects and failures.

Features

1. Dual Chamber Capacity
Both chambers (396x455x47 8mm each) dry, store, and anneal prints. The temperatures of the chambers can be customized independently to store filaments with different requirements.

2. Active Air Exchange

The DRYCON’s active air exchange system cycles humid air with fresh air periodically, ensuring optimal drying conditions.

3. Annealing for Industrial-Grade Parts
Both chambers heat up to 180°C and anneal 3D prints to enhance properties such as strength, dimensional accuracy, heat resistance and improved surface quality of the print, the company says.

4. DRYCON to Printer Filament Feed
The DRYCON’s four filament outlets feed the material directly into the 3D printer, removing the need for manual transfers and separate storage.

The DRYCON will be available across EMEA via the BigRep website and globally in early 2025.
