Zeus Numerix has released CFDExpert-Lite, a simple CFD software with features that can handle the majority of industrial CFD requirements. Derived from the company's CFDExpert suite, the solution includes key features that make it simple to use but at the same time make it effective for industrial applications.

The budget-priced solution comes with 200 hours of guaranteed support, including guidance on solution methodology, help identifying the most suitable meshing and solver parameters, creation of surface meshes, help with post-processing data, and more.

The system provides the following types of computations: pressure drop estimation, flow path analysis, wake and vortex visualization, force and moment calculations, and thermal hot spot identification. The system is targeted at applications in the energy, construction, fluid machinery, automotive, chemical/process, and educational markets.

The system is compatible with Windows XP, and includes an STL surface mesh importer, K Epsilon turbulence model, multiple flow and thermal boundary conditions, surface contour displays, vector displays, and slicing planes.
