Thanks to Hans deBot, the USA Bobsled and Skeleton teams earned six total medals in Sochi, Russia. DeBot is an engineer and president of deBotech Inc.

According to a company press release, deBot helped the United State Bobsled and Skeleton Federation develop carbon fiber technology that was used in the sleds. These stronger, lighter carbon fiber parts helped Team USA to win two silver and four bronze medals in its respective events.

“It was exciting to watch Team USA take the medal podium and make history,” said deBot. “Knowing that our carbon fiber parts and composites likely played a role in the outcome of events where speed is the name of the game is amazing.”
