CIMdata Names Siemens PLM cPDm Market Leader

Siemens PLM Software has been recognized by PLM management consulting and research firm CIMdata as the market presence leader in the collaborative Product Definition management (cPDm) category for the 11th year in a row. CIMdata also ranked Siemens PLM Software as the market leader in the Digital Manufacturing market segment for the seventh straight year.

Siemens PLM Software addresses the cPDm category with its Teamcenter portfolio for digital lifecycle management. The company's Tecnomatix product is used in the digital manufacturing segment. CIMdatas findings are based on in-depth data and analysis of the PLM market and were announced by CIMdata in late March. CIMdatas forecast for Digital Manufacturing is estimated to remain steady with a five-year CAGR of seven percent. Overall, CIMdata reports that mainstream PLM is forecasted to grow at a five-year CAGR of over ten percent and continues to see growth as a key enterprise investment.
