Colfax International has launched new servers and workstations featuring the eight- and 12-core AMD Opteron  6100 Series processors.

“Colfax International is committed to offering our customers industry-leading solutions based on the latest AMD technology that deliver exceptional value and performance-per-watt leadership,” says Mike Fay, vice president, Colfax International. “Today’s introduction of AMD Opteron 6100 Series processors further enhance performance and overall system efficiency to meet the demands of our HPC customers.”

Based on the next-generation AMD Direct Connect Architecture 2.0 with up to 48 total cores in a 4P configuration, these platforms more than double the memory bandwidth and provide nearly 1.3x the I/O bandwidth of previous generation 2P and 4P servers and workstations.
