Dell Updates Precision 7000 Workstation Family

Dell has updated its Precision 7000 family of mobile workstations. Released on May 28, the new Dell Precision 7550 and 7750 are 20% smaller and 6% lighter than their predecessors, but provide even more power.

Both the 15-in. 7550 and 17-in. 7750 include top-firing speakers, ambient sensing, and low blue light displays. They feature the 10th-generation Intel Core, vPro and Xeon processors, and support NVIDIA Quadro RTX 5000 GPUs. They are designed for virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), AI, 3D CAD, and creative editing applications. 

The 7750 and 7550 provide 8TB and 6TB of storage, respectively, and up to 128GB of memory. 

Both workstations also include Dell Optimizer for Precision, an AI-driven tool that analyzes users behavior to improve hardware and application performance.

“The AI engine is now included on the base config at no additional cost to the user,” said Mano Gialusis, product manager for mobile workstations/client solutions at Dell, during an online launch event. “We also have improved system responsiveness, better application performance, smarter use of battery power. We also have smarter battery charging, being able to get you to a 35, 55, 85% battery level quicker depending on how you're using the system. And we have new storage and audio optimizations that have been added into Dell Optimizer for Precision.”

The Dell Precision 7750 and 7550 were released May 28, with starting prices of $1,999 and $1,709, respectively.
