ECAD-PORT will release its ecosystem based on the ComponentCloud for E3.series on February 25, 2021, changing the component procurement for electronic CAD systems and being available to customers worldwide due to the partnership with CADENAS and ZUKEN.

Provision and Integration of Components

The cloud platform comprises various modules, some of which have existed for some time, but are now combined in a single solution. The ECAD-PORT ComponentCloud is the centerpiece that acts as a component library from which companies can download the components they need for circuit diagram development. Payment is made via tickets, which start at 1.90 euros and which have an equivalent value of 15 minutes of system time. Components cost only a quarter of the original price.

If a component is not available in the library, users can easily calculate, order and pay in advance via CPNT.ORDER. ECAD-PORT then stores the relevant data in the system and makes them available in the library.

“Another key problem is the numerous differences in the customers' databases, which means that they cannot be referenced,” explains Christoph Bayer, founder and CEO of ECAD-PORT. “With the CPNT.DOCK module, we also offer a solution for this problem. The plug-in makes it possible to easily record, rename and integrate components.

There is a certain standard that every company can customise for itself.” The CPNT.DOCK is available for both the ZUKEN ComponentCloud and the ECAD-PORT ComponentCloud.

Kickstart Package for New Customers

Another enhancement to the ecosystem is CPNT.DTBS 365. The kickstart package is primarily aimed at new customers and is available in various sizes. At the same time, ECAD-PORT supplies a certain number of components so that users can start developing their products immediately. With Librarian on Demand, ECAD-PORT also offers customer-specific adjustments.

Companies can completely outsource the maintenance of their component database and manage component procurement online. The ECAD-PORT ecosystem provides quick and cost-efficient access to the required components for circuit diagram development of quality.
